"though the problems of the world are becoming increasingly complex the solutions are embarrassingly simple".

Bill Mollison

The Permaculture Assoc of/du Canada is a small volunteer group that is a registered not for profit based in rural Eastern Ontario. We're very much focused on educating folks about implementing workable local community Resilience strategies across the country and beyond. We are aligned with groups like Transition Towns, 350.org and Permaculture locally and beyond.

Will you give us a hand? We're asking you for a small donation ($5-$10 suggested) so that our modest event start-up costs are shared by many. A community of stakeholders like you can push this event into the mainstream and help to create the greater local resilience that is so obviously needed in many folks' lives, families and communities.

Our goal is to host an event that will showcase a wide range of resilience skills and lifestyle choices that anyone can have or do in their communities by focusing on food, farms, and their families. A volunteer group of 14 (at time of writing and growing) are actively planning speakers, workshops, e-vehicles, tiny houses, yurts, trade show and vendors plus lots of local food and family fun events. We've embarked on a big mission in the region.

And we are here to ask for your help. We're bootstrapping this event from scratch. We're confident that we'll get a lot of future support as the event is attracting a great deal of interest. But, we're in a chicken & egg situation as we need some basic supplies and resources in the next month or so to move the project ahead to present to various sponsors and community groups. We think a thousand dollars or hopefully two for printing, website and related set-up expenses will give a big kickstart to our early campaign. You can help us to be able to grow it into a meaningful experience that will have impact on the lives of visitors from as far and wide as Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa and communities everywhere between. If yo prefer to donate directly to the bootstrap campaign click on the DONATE button to contribte via PayPal.
